Alleged N2.5bn NNPP Campaign Fraud: Kwankwaso Seeks Court Protection Against EFCC
The Presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People Party (NNPP), Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, was said to have rushed to a Kano High Court to seek refuge against speculated moves by the operatives of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) to arrest him in allegations of fraudulent siphoning of NNPP campaign funds.
The former Kano State governor was accused by some party officials over the alleged diversion of a whooping sum of N2.5 billion campaign money.
Reports have it that the operatives of the EFCC had invited Kwankwaso late last week to answer some questions in the N2.5 billion allegations.
Although the Kano State Chairman of the NNPP Hashimu Dungurawa had dismissed the reports of Kwankwaso being questioned by the EFCC the latest reports of the same Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso to go to Court against unverified moves by the EFCC to arrest him speak against Dungurawa position.
The Former Governor was said to have filed an application at the State High Court Presided over by Justice Yusuf Ubale asking him to stop EFCC from intimidating, harassing, inviting or arresting him in the fraudulent allegations
