Nwobodo To Deliver Keynote Speech At Chairman Chukwu Anniversary Celebration
The former Anambra State governor, Senator Jim Nwobodo, will deliver a keynote speech at the celebration of former Super Eagles handler, Chairman Christian Chukwu MFR, in commemoration of his 50th anniversary as Rangers International Football Club player and Captain (1974-2024).
This was made known by the chairman of the organising committee for the celebration of Chukwu, Mr. Chris Gisto Mma, while briefing journalists in Enugu on the preparation going on.Mr Mma, noted that Chief Nwobodo was in a better position to present the keynote address as one- time chairman of Rangers International Football Club and great lover and supporter of Rangers uptil today.
According to him, Nwobodo contributed enormously towards the glorious era of the club and called on states in the former East Central states to look into the welfare of ex Rangers players who he said brought honour and pride to the people of the region.
The remarkable event comes up on Thursday, March 28th, 2024, with a novelty football match at Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu between ex-Rangers International Football Club players and All Stars football club, kick-starting the celebration.
The main celebration holds at Amadeo Event Centre,behind Oakland hotel,Ebeano tunnel, Enugu by 1pm.A book on Chairman Christian Chukwu MFR:The Field Marshall is expected to be launched at the occasion.Personalities expected to grace the occasion are governors of the south east, with Governor Peter Mba of Enogu as the host and former governor of Anambra state, Mr Peter Obi.Others are president Ohaneze Ndigbo,Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyawu, great football players like Kanu Nwankwo, Adokiye Amasiemeka, Emma Okala, Jonny Egbonu are to attend the event.
